Please help, when I try to launch the game it just shows the godot engine logo and nothing else, then if I press something it goes black and I hear the sounds of the game but nothing else
Which OS are you using? Can you give me some details about your hardware specs (especially graphics card)? Also try to hit enter and see if that changes anything. Thanks!
Great game bud, it was really good for a free game TBH. I thought it had a good story line also. Lots of fun with lots of upgrades. Thank you for making this, I hope to see more from you.
I loved this so much!! One of the best games I've played on itch!! Idk how I didn't see it before but the fact that you made this for a game jam makes this even more of an amazing accomplishment!! This was like Subnautica for the PS1 and it stood out some much from everything else!! Thanks for making this game!!
Yeah Subnautica was definitely an inspiration. It's a really great game and I'm flattered that my small game is getting compared to it :) Thanks for playing!
This game is pretty awesome. It can be finished in about an hour if you know what do to and you won't get bored playing it through. Great atmosphere and gameplay as well.
Small spolier:Be sure to check the surroundings if you want to see all endings.
enjoyed playing this but my god the prices like im digging for dirt lol any get rich quick tips? ill upload some gameplay on my YT channel at some point no fake cam commentary just good old fashioning gameplay
Yeah, so there are different minerals at deeper depths. As soon as you got your first 10 credits get yourself the "Pressure Stabilizer Mask". This allows you to comfortably go to a depth of 50 meters and even a bit below that. There you'll find Iron and Silver which is vastly more worth than copper and tin (100 times as much really). The same thing applies to every time you get an upgrade to your max. depth. The fastest / easiest way to finish the game is actually just trying to get to the next type of minerals as fast as possible. Let me know if you have any further questions and thanks for playing! :)
Excellent little diving/mining game. Reminded me a bit of Treasures of the Deep for PS1. I find the deep ocean both fascinating and terrifying so it's nice to sea more games like this popping up. I would love to play a more fleshed-out version of this one day, with more shop items and areas to explore. Maybe a story-driven mode that involves something with those sunken rocket ships and drowned divers? Either way, great work for a quick jam game!
Thank you for playing and the kind words sodaraptor! Yeah I'm still working on the game, expanding it and polishing stuff up. Definitely got a lot of ideas for stuff to add :)
Really fun game! However, having to move the camera to go up was not very cool. The space key would feel pretty intuitive. Also, having a loading screen every time you go to the surface gets a bit annoying over time. You could probably load the scene in advance. Overall, really cool game. The gameplay loop was pretty addicting xD
wow i like the graphic and it like a ps1 era game! smooth controls. I have not gotten far yet but i hope future update has a save state if i want to take a brake though. I'm sure it not a long game but i'm exploring and figuring things out. I like the story at the start intro and it a great idea concept! For the save state so people don't load back in old save. the Save could just work until you load the game again then it clear out, then when you want a brake you save again etc.
God that second ending was scary, yet incredibly awesome! I managed to find both as well as the easter-egg.
I am a sucker for deep sea and cosmic horror games, so this was perfect for me!
I really enjoyed the exploration aspect and found it incredibly useful that up was always the direction to safety. The red light on the ladder help this very much too!
I love hidden secrets, especially in combination with exploration, and I stunned you managed to do this so well within 72 hours. Great work!
I would love to see this game expanded even further! I am myself trying to learn unreal engine and hope to one day create a game in the genre of deep sea/cosmic horror. I would love to mix those genres in a single game.
I have played a lot of horror games and believe myself that I have some pretty good experience in terms of how horror can truly invoke something within the player (at least I think so myself haha). If you ever fell like it, I would love to help out in any way I can with future projects like this, and hopefully learn something in the process!
Anyway, great work! Looking forward to your future projects!
I really love it's satisfying and simple gameplay loop, where the play area is naturally expanded overtime at the my own pace. The shallows did a really good job acclimating me to the controls in relative safely, while also wordlessly explaining the depth/mineral price relationship with the one central deep spot.
Unfortunately, I haven't gotten very far since my game crashed some ways in and caused a non-insignificant loss of progress. My only wish right now is a quicksave or an autosave feature when I get back to the surface to prevent this in the future.
Hii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^
-The concept of the game is really good.
-The gameplay mechanics are pretty fun and easy to get into, and once you get the two first updates the game starts going faster and that feels quite good :D
-The visual style is really interesting and has those nice PS1 vibes ^^
Hopefully this is useful to you :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)
The game's really addicting in its simplicity. I only wish the player at least started with just enough credits to buy one of the 2 50 credit options. Otherwise nice game.
Hey thanks! That was awesome. Really enjoyed your commentary. You're actually not supposed to just guess the direction. There is one last piece of equipment you're missing which will help you to find the way. Let me know if you managed to find it :)
Without a doubt, one of the most fun games I've played. I loved the exploration, the upgrades, the visuals, everything. It would be great if this game was expanded, had four or five stages. Anyway, it was fun. Congratulations on your work.
This could have so easily fallen into the territory of becoming a chore or a constant grind but you've struck the balance really well to the point where it makes the game so much more fun! Hated the sharks though, they ruined my good time feelings, haha!
Buen juego!
Warkus, this is fantastic. I always loved upgrade distance games, and you actually managed to make one in 3d! With psx graphics! And voice acting! In 48 hours!
This was a really unique take on one of my favourite genres of old flash games and I absolutely loved it. Nice work as always.
Good Job Warkus! I enjoyed playing your game a lot, it was little odd game to be honest, but execution and overall design was unique. The immersion in the water and that look was mind-blowing, with the additional system of buying and crafting, I mean, great job!
Hey thanks for playing! Could you elaborate the odd part? Always looking for feedback :) My twitter / email / discord info is in on my profile page if you want to message me. Thanks again! :)
The oddness is good, I did not mean in a bad way, it's odd like unique and wise. Hope to see your future projects, I've been your fan since "Thy Flesh" and "Ghost Study", but this game is beyond my expectations. Keep up the good work!
Ah. Gotcha. And that's so cool to hear. I make my games pretty much in a vacuum. I've never knew that are people who consider themselves as a fan of what I do. Very much appreciated! Btw. since you have played my other games. Did you manage to find the easter egg in Oceanwork yet? ;)
You kidding? Lot's of people love your stuff, well, most of YouTube, famous content creators, who play your game. I did not, no, unfortunately, but, I will try again, maybe post a video on YouTube, it's just your game was personal to me and I wanted to play around, but Idk, maybe I will record it.

Made a video
Thanks! :)
Honestly, I really enjoyed this! Another hit from you Warkus! Top notch! Love the atmosphere and feeling of fear I get while being in the water!
Hey, thanks for playing and making a video :) It's always cool to hear when people enjoy my other games too. Glad that you're enjoying what I make :)
Oh totally! I look forward to playing more!
Thanks!
Same problem. Game freezes at GODOT logo, however game sound does still play (I can hear the female voice intro). Pressing Enter does nothing.
FOUND HOW TO FIX:
Nvidia control panel -> 3D settings -> program settings -> oceanwork.exe -> find "Anti-Aliasing mode" and choose "controlled by app".
This is top tier!
Thank you! :D
I guess ps1 girls are fine.
:)
sadly the latest mac version wont work because for some reason its damaged???
Oh, I'm sorry. Building for Mac is sadly not as easy as it should be. Working on a solution, tough
I like this game very much
Thanks! :)
hi i think this game is great idk if you wanted the game to look like ps1 games but it actually makes it better nice job
thanks :)
ur welcome

mom: we have subnautica at home
subnautica at home: they are liars. now touch the altar, quickly
:D
How do you save the game?
There is no way to save the game currently. I'm working on it, though :)
Oh ok ty,
Great work btw
Thanks! And thank you for playing! :)
did you not read the description its based on a ps1 game, you cant save ps1 games XD
Loved this game, so much fun I got both endings! And I found a diskman at the shop? ;)
Thanks for playing! This should explain the diskman: https://warrrkus.itch.io/ghoststudy
I played this game after playing Kept Hidden, Thy Flesh and Ghost Study. I got the reference lol.
enjoyed playing this but my god the prices like im digging for dirt lol any get rich quick tips? ill upload some gameplay on my YT channel at some point no fake cam commentary just good old fashioning gameplay

great game man!!!!
Great game! Love that the progression picks up fast. Great feeling of dread going out into the deep. The second ending was fun to do ;)
Thanks for playing! :)
Keep up the good work Warkus, I'm loving your PSX art style games.
Really fun game! However, having to move the camera to go up was not very cool. The space key would feel pretty intuitive. Also, having a loading screen every time you go to the surface gets a bit annoying over time. You could probably load the scene in advance. Overall, really cool game. Hey thanks for playing! I also thought of adding space bar to go up, so I'll probably add that soon :)
I really had fun playing this.
Thanks! :)
Warkus my friend you've got another great game here. This is probably my favorite so far. It's engaging to the point of being addictive. Great job!
Thank you so much! :D
Thanks for playing! :)
One of the best game I downloaded in Itch.io . It's very calming and you just wanna have fun.
Thanks! :)

Hey thanks for playing. Yeah the balancing still needs some improvement. I'm working on it, tough :)

Thank you Sepi! Actually made in 72 hours but yeah, it was a lot of hard work to get this done. Did you get the name of the planet? ;)
Oh, yes I did. The completionist sepi forced me to pay and leave but I honestly didnt want to. It is a great planet!
